When you think of inspirational people, who comes to mind? There are the obvious answers like Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, and mother Theresa – people who set out to make a difference in the world and did. There are also big names like Oprah, Steve Jobs, and J.K. Rowling who overcame and sacrificed to achieve great things.

People like Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, and Nikola Tesla, thanks to whom we continue to make advances in science and technology, might also come to mind. Thanks to whom amazing things like electricity, cars, modern medicine, the internet, and incredible technology like ph360 and the new exist.

One particular person who I admire very much is Jamie Oliver. Yes, that quirky British chef with a slight lisp. The reason I admire him isn’t because he’s famous, or rich, or has published over a dozen cookbooks. I find him inspirational because he found something he really loves and is using it to make a positive impact on the world. He’s just a regular British bloke who discovered he has a real passion and talent for cooking, has worked hard to get to where he is now, and is using his influence to change something that he doesn’t like about the world he lives in. He has spent years setting up cooking and education programs in schools and communities all over the world and his latest books are all about healthy eating. Jamie is trying to change our unhealthy relationship with food from the ground up. He knows that real change starts with the individual. He is on a mission to impact each and every individual.

All the above mentioned people have done great things in their own unique way. They happen to be famous for it, but each one of us has something unique to offer. You might be inspired by someone you know personally – maybe your mom is your biggest motivator. But have you ever thought of yourself as someone capable of greatness? Someone who can make a real impact on the world?

You ARE and you CAN. Here’s the thing, taking inspiration from those who have come before us is fantastic. It can really keep you motivated. But it’s just as important to remember that all those people, the Ghandis and Oprahs and Jamies, are individuals. Just like you and me. We are all different, we are all unique and we all have the ability to do something special with our lives.

It is not possible to control what other people say and do. You can’t impose your will on others, but you can 100% control what YOU say and do. We are all completely unique and what we have to offer the world, as individuals and as the human race, is valuable. If you feel strongly about something, like Jamie does about food, you can choose to educate yourself about it and make decisions in your day-to-day life that are in line with what you want to see change in the world. Basically it comes down to living what you believe. Be the change you wish to see in the world.

It may sound daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. If you are against cruelty to animals, don’t buy products from companies that test on animals. If you care about the environment, try to drive less and don’t eat beef. If your concerns are about world health and the millions of people suffering with chronic pain and disease, like mine and Jamie’s are, well there’s an app for that! Technology like ph360, and the next gen. version, , are making it incredibly easy to know what is exactly right for you as an individual to be able to live your healthiest life. Personalized health will change the world one person at a time. I for one, want to be a part of that. Do you?
